A lazy Saturday delving into more images from the Hawaii State Archives. I know nothing of the back story of these pictures. The first image looks like the spot where the Navetek boat docks, but the V-shaped angle of the sidewalk does not match up to that location.
Very cool find! The location in the first photo is just Ewa of Aloha Tower at Pier 12. The cannon and what looks to be a projectile cemented into the wall is undoubted a reminder of the old fort. In the background you can see S.S. Waialeale docked at Pier 15. Judging by those two sedans in the background, I'd say the photo was probably taken sometime in the mid 1930's when Ala Moana Blvd was still Queen St.
